It's Mizz KT here, and boy am I glad that I'm typing this because I lost my voice this past week! Can you believe it? No singing, no puppet voices, no ANYTHING! Needless to say, it's left me between a rock and a hard place, but when life gives you lemons, you make Lemonade. At the International Puppet Festival, I fell in love with a great show called "A Squirrel Stole My Underpants" by a brilliant puppeteer and performing artist named Bonnie Duncan who completely pantomimed a puppet show about... you guessed it, a squirrel stealing her underpants! It was cute, irreverent, and by far one of the funniest stage shows I've EVER seen! You can check her stuff out here: http://www.bonnie-duncan.com/
And so, we decided to do our own pantomime show. One because we had to cancel our shows at The Clay Lady Campus and this coming up show at Shelby Bottoms Nature Center, and we never want to do that again! And two, because it's just SO much fun! Telling a story without words creates a new and fun element that challenges the audience and the performer. And so, please enjoy our Silent Film version of "Little Red Riding Hood:"
